Hello friends this is the picture of jvk hydro power plant which is situated in Srinagar garhwal.
A 330 MW hydro project is being developed on the river Alaknanda in Tehri/ Pauri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand. The construction of this project is nearing completion. It has a 90 m high (from deepest foundation level) dam. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed with the state of Uttar Pradesh and 12% output will be given free to the state of Uttarakhand. The project is expected to commission its first unit by this year.
The Ratle Hydro Electric project located on river Chenab in the state of Jammu & Kashmir is planned to be developed as a run-of-the river scheme. This is the first Hydro Power Project in the country awarded on tariff based International Competitive Bidding (ICB) process for development of the project on BOOT basis for a period of 35 years. It has an underground power house having four units of 205 MW each and in addition a 30 MW plant, totalling an installed capacity of 850 MW. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been executed between Power Development Department, Go J&K and GVK Ratle Hydro Electric Project Pvt. Ltd.
The Hon'ble PM Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi laid the Foundation Stone for the Ratle HEP at Kishtwar, J&K. The development of the project will lead to the overall economic and social development of the community as well.
This 346 MW power project is being developed in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. This will be a merchant power plant for GVK. The Government of Uttarakhand has granted its approval for the preparation of a Detailed Project Report for a single integrated project, combining both the projects (146 MW + 200 MW). 12% output from this project will be given free of cost to the state of Uttarakhand.

F.R.I dehradun

The Forest Research Institute is an institute of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education and is a premier institution in the field of     forestry research in India. It is located at Dehradun in Uttarakhand. and is one of the oldest institutions of its kind. In 1991, it was declared  deemed university by the University Grants Commission. it was founded in 1878 by Dietrich Brandis.

architecture - forest research institute is one of the oldest institute of its class in all over the world.The Institute has a developed infrastructure of all equipped laboratories, library, herbarium, arboreta, printing press and experimental field areas for conducting forestry research, quite in keeping with the best of its kind anywhere in the world. It is 7 km from Clock Tower, on the Dehradun-Chakrata motorable road and is of the biggest forest based training institute in India. Most of the forest officers are a product of this institute. The F.R.I. with its majestic building also houses a Botanical Museum for the attraction of tourists.

F.R.I also contain library and museum.

chaukhamba is one of the part of himalaya which is covered by snow all the year. it is very beautiful mountain. we can see it near guptkashi. it also seen from pauri and  chamoli.

                                         the main temple was shifted on 15 june 2013 before flood in Kedarnath.

                                          thousands people comes here during NAVARATRAS FESTIVAL.This  is
                                         one of the very ancient temples in uttrakhand.
